FILMS IN THOMPKINS
Little explanation is needed when it comes to the whats and whys of Free Films In Tompkins. Founder Darin Rubell produces the series that screens beloved classics and cult favorites, enlisting the cache of his brick-and-mortar establishments like 983 and Boulton & Watt, as well as the Grolsch Brewery and other local partners. All are welcome and encouraged to picnic in the historic landmark, and the attendance averages 1000 people. Showing modern cinema masterworks like The Big Lebowski, Fight Club and Poltergeist, is an elegantly simple way to augment the timelessly romantic atmosphere of Tompkins. 2015 will be the series’ sixth year providing this fantastic service to the public, also a great opportunity for brand visibility.
